I promise you a report after Santa Cruz!
I'll look for Morgan in the lobby before Runion comes on. _________________ Under cherry flowers none are strangers |

If you search flickr, there are some pics from Whispertown opening in Portland. They looked great! _________________ Some things were worth getting in trouble for |

I brought a camera but it couldn't focus, so no pics.
Great show - really nice soulfull sound and lots of good feelings. The last song really built into a powerfull crescendo that was sharp.
At a quiet moment I yelled out 'We love Morgan' and got a big smile.
While waiting for RK to come one, Whispertown members were leading a cheer and doing a dance from the balcony up by the Green Room. _________________ Under cherry flowers none are strangers |

They opened for RK on the 24th at the Glasshouse, and they were amazing. I hadn't heard much about them. I didn't like them at first but they put a great show up. I have to say, I am a fan now. Amazing band, they are. _________________ When the palm trees bow their heads; no matter how cruel I've been. LA, you always let me back in. |

Has any one heard the new tracks? They are pretty cool. Listen to "Erase The Lines", it's terrific. W2k MySpace _________________ When the palm trees bow their heads; no matter how cruel I've been. LA, you always let me back in. |

Doh. I just left a comment in the Jenny tour thread about W2K because I didn't see this thread.
I wish/hope they'd sell the new album on the Jenny dates. I know it'd be a month early, but sometimes bands sell their album in advance on tour...
I'm just sososo excited for it!
Edit: Ahh, the two new songs on the MySpace sounds great! I just listened.

They're switching songs. "Erase The Lines" is no longer on the profile. _________________ When the palm trees bow their heads; no matter how cruel I've been. LA, you always let me back in. |

My fingers are crossed that it'll be sold early as well, because that way I may be able to find someone to pick it up for me on tour. If not, our local record store hosted their last appearance here, and I'm sure that they'll be stocking the record. _________________ My username is apexsensation. Did they officially change their name again? I keep seeing "The Whispertown 2000" now, spaces and all.
Man, they're really fucking with last.fm, hahaha. |

Whispertown 2000 is still a horrible name, imo.

They should settle with "The Whispertown".
Whispertown 2000 sounds like a bad inside joke.
Vagtown....a band that plays outside of Lilith Fair in the parking lot? _________________ There is nothing stopping you, there is nothing stopping me. So let that beat control your body baby! |

They were selling the new CD tonight in Lawrence. Morgan said they just got them.

I thought they mentioned in a bulletin that they were changing it to "Whispertown" but I guess that's not the case. I really liked it better without the 'the.' _________________ My username is apexsensation. But you can call me Jason if you'd like.

If you want maybe I can pick one up for you tonight? I'm not sure I'll have enough cash 'cause I need extra money for a cab later. If you see this before 4 p.m., though, let me know and I can try.
How much was Swim? $10? And was Jenny selling Acid Tongue yet? |

Sorry, I didn't notice the price of the CD--I just saw them there when I was perusing the merch table. (Morgan was selling merch before she went on.) But she said the bit about how they just got the CDs, etc., during their set. I don't really know much else about it. |

Well sorrryyyy. I'm not a huge Whispertown fan so I don't many details about the actual band. _________________ Love me, hate me, say what you want about me. But all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy. |
