Yeah, that's kinda steep....and I'm still waiting for the new solo CD she mentioned. enough J&J.

Hell no. And I'd be lying if I said it didn't have everything to do with Johnathan Rice. I would pay that much to see Jenny ALONE or Rilo Kiley but I am not a fan of J&J, sorry. The album was ok I guess but not $75 worth. Jenny needs to get it through her head that her fans do not care for this guy. How she feels about him personally is irrelevant. He, for me anyway, is one of those musicians who are talented but are more suited for behind the scenes/background work (I REALLY enjoyed his contributions to Acid Tongue). He's not a "front man" type musician. Of course, this is only my opinion and not fact. In short, I won't be going. Doubt

if jenny and blake announced an acoustic tour like in 05, id be there and id pay 200$ without question. I have paid 100$ for jenny lewis solo in a really intimate settings, but again the johnny what is ruining this for me. Its not that I hate rice. No I like rice and his musical contribution but again.... Jenny and Johnny is what i don't want to see. If it were jenny lewis and her back up musician was johnathan rice id be there. But no its johnny. So like i said, to those who go enjoy it, if anyone else has an extra free ticket ill take it off your hands but no way am i spending that.

Are you all fucking crazy? If I lived anywhere close, I'd go w/o hesitation. $75 or not.

Well said. I think J.Rice is extremely talented but as I said, I prefer his background/featured contributions. I bought his solo album (the name escapes me) but its in a box in my garage. I didn't care for it. I've seen him solo a couple times open for RK. Again, didn't care for it (although I did really enjoy We're All Stuck Out In The Desert). I think Johnny was doomed before he started. Jenny and Blake had this chemistry and synergy that many legendary songwriting duos have. Mr. Rice had a TOUGH act to follow with Blake and unfortunately, he will always stand in his musical shadow to fans. I would encourage him to try and publically distance himself from the RK camp so he can have a shot as an artist in his own right. But at present, J&J just looks like two people riding each other. He's riding her coattails and she's riding...well you know.

EDIT: Btw, Adan next (affordable) Jenny show, we need to go so we can have a "standing in line for hours" Rilo Kiley reunion!

And Heather, on one hand I can understand. After all, it IS Jenny friggin Lewis. But I personally didn't care enough for I'm Having Fun Now to spend THAT much money and I already know the set is going to be heavy with those songs. So I dunno. MAYBE if it was in San Diego, I'd consider going but I'm factoring in the 2 hr trip to Hollywood.

Well, yeah, it's easy for me to say because I'm in friggin' Illinois and there is no chance in hell I'd be able, realistically, to go.

Maybe if I was off pretty well and/or had a rich teenager I'd be all over tickets that price, but considering I (and I would think most of us) am not, fuck no.

Damn, wander away from the board for a few days, and a NYE show gets announced. Like many others around here, I stand about a 0% percent chance of making that show. That being said, 75 bucks would be worth it. That is pretty much par for the course for damn near anything these days on NYE. The Standard would be a fine establishment in which to ring in the New Year as well. I'm no huge J&J fan, but that sounds like a damn fine time.

Personally id go for cults and jenny lewis, but the Doctor Who Blu Ray is so tempting right now.

The tickets are beyond my budget, especially this time of year, and I'm on the east coast besides, but, for what it's worth, I vote for the Doctor, Amy, Rory, and River...

Seconded.

One redhead for $60 is better than $75 for another.

I got my redhead Amy for only 45$ on blu ray. Though I'm kinda crushing on River, her "Heel, boy" attitude is really hot. Mojo have we discussed the following?: Who is hotter Amy or Jenny?

At this point it's probably Amy. Jenny was pretty much high school for me.
