Post subject: The Elected- Would you come with me? |

Ok, so I found a tab for this song on the Ultimate Guitar web site but the person who came up with these chords probably didn't know much about the guitar because they made chords that can be played SO much easier. I'm going to post that tab here but add in the changes I made to the two really weird chords this person made. Also, I know for a fact that this tab is NOT correct from watching a video of Blake playing this song but I figured it would be great to have at least something here for people to play since it's such an awesome song. If anyone feels like figuring out the way it's really played, be my guest. Anyway, here we go.
!!!!My changes to this tab will be on the bottom. It's ten times easier to play that way so I suggest you check it out!!!!
No name on this tab so no idea who to give credit to.
***Start of UG tab for 'Would you come with me'***
There are two chords in here that I'm not sure what they're called, but the first one
like this:
e|--x--|
B|--5--|
G|--4--|
D|--5--|
A|--3--|
E|--x--|
And the second one looks like this, however, you can just play this like a D if you want:
e|--x---|
B|--x---|
G|--4---|
D|--7---|
A|--5---|
E|--x---|
I think its some form of a C, so I'll just call the first one C? and the second one D?

Would You Come With Me
The Elected
~Sun, Sun, Sun~
C?
You got a hunting cap on
D? G
you're up at dawn with me
C?
but we don't shoot at deer
D? G G7
so we just sit right here and sing
C?
and we've been up all night
D
and our eyes are tired
Bm G
but now there's light enough to see
C? D?
so if I leave right now
G
would you come with me?
C?
I had this sadness
D? G
creeping like vines over me
C?
I didn't get what I wanted
D? G G7
so I just took what wanted me
C?
and I was making bad bets
D
but when the odds look good
Bm G
you gotta play the hand you see
C? D?
so if I leave right now
G
would you come with me?
C? D?
I think I could leave right now
G
if you'd come with me
C? D?
I got this friend,
G
she doesn't like to fly
C?
but that don't bother her none, no
D? G G7
she's taking trips all the time
C? D?
and I wish I was that friend, flying away
Bm G
but I got my feet right on the ground
C? D?
so if I leave right now
G
would you come with me?
C? D?
I swear I would leave right now
G
if you'd come with me
C?
I swear I would leave right now
leave right now
D
leave right now
leave right now
Em
leave right now
leave right now
G
leave right now
C? D?
I would leave right now
G
if you'd come with me
***End UG version***
My changes to the tab:
Ok, everyone who plays guitar should know about something called relative tuning. I'm not going to explain what that is here but it has a lot to do with how I came up with the easier form of these chords. So here are the chords used in this tab and then the chords I came up with.
'C?' chord
UG:
e|--x--|
B|--5--|
G|--4--|
D|--5--|
A|--3--|
E|--x--|
My chord:
e|--0--|
B|--0--|
G|--0--|
D|--x--|
A|--3--|
E|--x--|
Here's the other one...
'D?' chord
UG:
e|--x---|
B|--x---|
G|--4---|
D|--7---|
A|--5---|
E|--x---|
My chord:
e|--0---|
B|--0---|
G|--2---|
D|--0---|
A|--x---|
E|--x---|
My versions make the same exact sounds as the UG versions. Try them out and decide which ones you like better. _________________ We shift eachothers body to accept the bullet. |
