It's summer which means I drink beer and go swimming during the day which means I'm drunk right now. I miss when the boards were busy, happy there is at least the JL tour leading to more posts. You all are awesome. Come be my friends cause I'm bored and lonely and getting old. Come to the JJAMZ show tonight or the JL SB show tomorrow or the LA show on Thursday. Super excited to see Allie in just a few days, I think that's enough rambling for now.

I rarely drink liquor, often because I can't ever think of what to order besides gin and tonic.

But I saw a sign for 'ginger beer,' which is vodka with ginger ale and lime.

I'm a vodka girl. It's the liquor I've found that is kindest to my system and will hardly give me hangovers, unless I excessively overdo it, or of course mix it with other stuff. I usually make it easy with vodka tonics.

Why I shouldn't have children: My 17 year old sister is "watching a movie" with her boyfriend in the living room. Everyone else went to bed and my first thought was "I'm not chaperoning. If she wants to fuck him on the couch of her parents' house that's on her"

What I said earlier as an argument for maybe wanting to have children: "they'd be so fun to fuck with. Like if it was 6 and sick and sniffling a bunch I'd be like 'are you on drugs? don't lie to me I know you're on fucking drugs! now give me some!'"

You guys, I'm about to write a really long drunk post. Actally I'm not sure how long it will be as I'm drunk and I might get bored soon. But here is the gist of it.

A) I'm drunk.
B) I got a bunch of free drinks because our waiter turned out to be an old friend of my friend.
C) One of them was this whiskey shot thing, but it didn't taste like straight whiskey? It had a lemon in it that's all I can tell you.
C) I just realized I already typed C but I don't want to backspace. But this bullet point to tell you that I'm still drinking a beer, event hough I'm at home know.
D) It is Tuesday night. I have to work tomorrow. Whee!
E) Alchohol helped me realize tonight that we are all in the same boat. Seriously, you are never alone. Whatever weird, fucked up, isolating shit you are going through - there is someone who can understand. Find them, and maybe get drunk with them.
F) I goddamn love this forum.

I'm not currently drunk, but I'll be pretty trashed later tonight. I'm having my "bachelor party". I put it in quotes because it's nothing crazy. Most of my friends coming to my wedding are from out of state. We haven't all been together in over a decade. I told them I would rather we just all chill here instead of doing crazy stuff that would cost a lot of money and be a distraction to truly hanging out together. I can't wait until tonight! I miss these fucks.

I walked 7 miles along a river to get to this little town. I ordered a vodka/graprefruit and beer, but the bartender makes me a vodka/cranberry.
So he ends up giving me the mistake drink and I get to have a pretty fun walk home.

Sneaking in under the wire here while I still have a decent buzz going and before the hangover starts to set in. Had a really fun night tonight. Saw one of my current favorite bands, the Dead Winter Carpenters, here in Boulder. I will try to post a good youtube or two of their stuff in other threads, but they are a great americana/bluegrass/rock band. It was at a venue that I thought was going to be funky and weird, but ended up working out pretty well. Going to see this band again tomorrow night (technically later tonight), so this show was sort of an appetizer. The Friday night show is down in Denver at a cool little bar, so it ought to be another good one.

On a completely unrelated and random note, Emotional shuffled onto my ipod the other day at work, and it hit just right. Damn, I miss me some Rilo Kiley.

I JUST HAD ONE BEER. So I'm not really drunk. But I'm a little buzzed from it. WTF. I don't know what is happening to my body lately. It's like I hit age 27 and I can no longer process alcohol properly.
Anyways, I had one beer, and now I am going to work out. With a beer buzz. I'm not sure if this idea is awful or great.

It really does seem to be something odd changing in my body. I used to be able to drink a six pack and barely get a buzz, now I get a buzz on one beer? And get hung over from 3 gin and tonics? WTF?
