Hey,
I found a video of Jenny's new song "Head Underwater". The audio is pretty good. So excited for new material .
I love that the Watsons are back with Jenny. _________________ There is nothing stopping you, there is nothing stopping me. So let that beat control your body baby!
Haha. Yeah, it might have been a good idea to post the video. Thanks for filling in my blanks! _________________ There is nothing stopping you, there is nothing stopping me. So let that beat control your body baby!
I can't help but think that the chorus sounds like a Disney song. Not what I expected from our Queen of Darkness. _________________ Sinking that ship sounds like a damn good idea.

I'm liking it though (not that I'm saying you don't... not trying to put words in your mouth ZL!) I don't know about anyone else, but I could do with a little bit of positivity and optimism about now, which is the general gist I get from the lyrics. I can understand what you mean though about the chorus... every time I hear it I think "like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives :::cue dramatic strings:::". But yeah, I like this a lot, and am excited to hear something new.

"You know what I ate today? A bagel and whiskey and BEER". LMFAOOOOO, that was awesome.
And I think the fact that I had whiskey and beer for dinner was apparent to everyone in the theatre. Whoops. _________________ Sinking that ship sounds like a damn good idea.

That was such a hilarious comment, very "fuckkk yeahhhh". And who cares if everyone noticed you were drunk, you weren't obnoxious at all. I'm still sad you didn't fight Jenny though. I could use a viral Youtube video. _________________ Beauty fades. Dumb is forever.
I love this song so much. Even if it is still just a "baby in the universe" right now.
I've been wearing all black, since the day it started
when I stopped and looked back
as my mind departed
I've been losing sleep and I cannot sit still
I'm not the same woman that you were used to
I put my head underwater, baby
I throw my clothes away in the trash
I stood barefoot on the blazing concrete
I was waiting for the bitter end
I don't wanna bore you with how I feel
but when the walls came down
shit got real
I never thought I would ever be
looking out on my life as if it was not there
I fucked around with something I always hated
I took a blanket into the bath
I opened my eyes and hallucinated
I took a nap and woke up in the grass
there's a little bit of magic, everybody has it
there's a little bit of sand left in the hourglass
my own mortality I contemplated
down in the valley I got hypnotized
it left a mark that hasn't faded
that's when I realized
there's a little bit of magic, everybody has it
there's a little bit of sand left in the hourglass
there's a little bit of magic, everybody has it
there's a little bit of fight left in me yet
I put my head underwater, baby
I held my breath until it passed
I crossed my fingers and I concentrated
I closed my eyes and I was free at last
*Updated. Thanks Paige/Almost Famous/Hustler/pbk.

I don't wanna love (?) you with how I feel
but when the walls came down
shit got real
Does anyone else hear "I don't wanna bore you with how I feel"?
I only listened to it once, but that's the way I heard it. _________________ Rise up children, life goes on and on

I am totally digging it. Only line I'm not digging is that "little bit of magic". So chintzy. Also maybe in a different vein it reminds me of Energy by the Apples in Stereo.

Haha so sorry to disappoint, but that was never going to happen dude. _________________ Sinking that ship sounds like a damn good idea.
I believe she sings
"there's a little bit of fight left in me yet"
That's what I hear.
This song is starting to grow on me. I'm trying to decide if it's about a drug trip or a state of psychosis, though they may be the same thing. Oh and that magic line still makes me cringe. _________________ I'll sink this ship if I want.
