From the Allston Pudding interview:

I really dig the title Bury My in My Rings. Is there a story behind it, or a specific reason why you chose it as the title?

BS: I had a friend and her mother would always torment her. When the mother died, she asked to be buried in her rings and jewelry, which were probably worth around 150,000 dollars. I thought it was selfish because that woman didn’t need those rings anymore, and my friend really could have used that money.

so i've tried to no avail to acquire the itunes only bonus track "some people." it's only available in the US itunes store and i'm in canada. i've tried faking a US account but it won't allow me to pay via paypal because it says my account requires a funding source from the US.

seriously, can someone share this? i know we're not supposed to request "official" released stuff, but i'm really desperate.

Like someone else said in another thread, I was really sad that this album didn't get any mentions on any Year End lists.

I think it's a very strong album. Some of the individual songs deserve to be in the Top Tracks of the year in my opinion, too.

Did anyone's opinion of the album change in the last half of the year - good or bad?

One year later and I still think this album is perfect. Hard to believe this thing is a year old

18 months later and it's still fantastic. Has anyone heard what Blake's doing at present? He seemed eager to make more music at the end of the last tour.

I wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the album cover art. Is it bullet holes? Also, probably not related, but the mention of rings made me think of that photo shoot where I think Jenny talked about a ring Blake's mom gave her that she always wears.

(I know I'm a little late to the party, but I'm loving this album.)

In other photos it's shown to be toilet paper rolls, I believe.[/u]

actually its toilet paper wadded up! whats great about the cover is that is a reverse white on black effect that when correct shows a constellation of the big dipper! So actually what you are looking on the cover are stars!

Thank you! That's really cool! I have been meaning to buy this since it came out, but got a little sidetracked in life.

Ok, now I feel really stupid. This toilet paper roll discussion made me look at the album cover and suddenly something caught my eye. "Bury Me In My Rings". I don't know how many times I have seen the album cover or the name written somewhere before but somehow I have always missed the "my" and thought the name of the album is just "Bury Me In Rings".
