I don't blame her on the wizard DVD. There is a wizard DVD? Lol. I kind of like the randomness of her not taking a lot of pic and choosing certain people. I have a story to tell her about my friend and some friends of this, about almost buying a house from her and rilo kiley. Thanks. I was curious. I am going to go see in Houston,Tx at the Warehouse Live. |
I DO blame her for the DVD. I love her, but I think that's retarded of her not to sign The Wizard DVD. What is it gonna hurt? Whether she's embarrassed of it or not, she was in it. I can maybe understand her not answering questions about it in interviews but not signing a DVD is a bit immature to me. Get over it, you did the movie, everyone knows it, might as well embrace it. It wouldnt be any different than me asking her to sign a piece of cardboard. Its for my own personal use, its not like its going to be distributed.

| I ran into her on the street corner before her show in New Haven last year and she took a picture with me. I talked to her about her show the night before at the Apollo, and she was like "you came to both?" and then told her how fun it looked to perform Jack Killed Mom and she said it was one of her favorites to do live. Then I asked for a picture and she was really nice about it. Jonathan took a picture of us, and then he was like "Lemme take another, you have wine tooth." It was really funny and they were both really sweet. Nothing but good vibes from her. |

I feel like a bit of an ass/weird stalker, but I've gotten a few different pictures with Jenny. And she's always been cool about it and actually remembered me. Once at her first solo show at the Echo back in 2004. She was getting a beer at the bar and I happened to be standing there. Another time at the Fingerprints show also back in 2004 when More Adventurous first came out. The last one was when they played The Star Lounge in L.A. in early...2008? I believe.
I also got a picture with Blake back in 2003 when they played the Troubadour. He was just standing in the crowd wearing a neon pink t-shirt and watching one of the opening bands and he was also cool about it. When I met him again at Fingerprints the next year, he seemed very annoyed so I didn't ask for a picture.
Anyway, I find it surprising that she randomly refuses pictures, but maybe I just got lucky. |

Does she really? I don't know if you were kidding, but if you weren't next time I see her, I'm gonna smack her. Lol no, but yeah I honestly think she should just get over it. The Wizard is the whole reason I even know who Jenny Lewis is and discovered her band.
I hate artists or celebrities who hang their head in shame over work they've done in the past that isn't exactly "cool". Fucking own it. If you personally don't care for the work that's one thing, but acting like it never happened or refusing to acknowledge it is so dumb to me.

At the SLC show a couple weeks ago, someone yelled "THE WIZARD!" and Jenny laughed. Rice said "be careful or she'll turn you into a fucking frog."

I think I've been really fortunate. I have 3 separate pictures with Jenny myself, one with her and my daughter, a postcard from her, an autograph...
So everything for me points to "yes", but I've seen her turn down people for pictures altogether and she didn't come out after the last J&J show at all. (There was a special circumstance with why she didn't that night though, and I understand that one) |

| I met her last year on her birthday. I was flying back from Omaha to Salt Lake City (super hungover) and she happened to be sitting across the aisle from me on the plane. I about freaked. My hangover magically went away haha. Told her I was a big fan and asked her what she was doing in Omaha and why she was headed to SLC. She said she just got done recording a new record (ended up being Jenny and Johnny) and was on her way to Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday. So I wished her a happy birthday and left her alone because I didn't want to annoy her. But after the plane landed I asked her if I could get a picture and she was more than happy to. My only regret is that I didn't ask her about the new rilo kiley rarities album. |

Jenny is always a bit reluctant about her photo taken with someone. Depends a bit on who the person is.
I think two years ago a German girl who wanted a photo she was okay with. I was there also and had to take the photo. Jenny knew me, so that might have helped too.
