I dreamed that I had an illeostomy. I was getting ready for work, and suddenly realized I had no idea how to clean it out or take care of it. I didn't have any clasps to hold the bag closed, so I was trying to shut it with bobby pins. Shock

I had this dream last night where my dad and I were in this place that was like the local music store combined with some kind of apartment/hotel thing, and was at the beach. My old guitar teacher was there, except he looked like Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones. Anyway, it was like Elliott Smith was still alive, but not doing well and was living there with Cameron Crowe and Nancy Wilson. There was a sign that said "If you take a picture of Elliott Smith, we WILL take your cell phone!" So I saw Cameron & Nancy come through the door once, and mildly freaked out. Then Elliott came from his room to go out the door. I kind of gasped and he looked around and laughed a little, even though I didn't think it was that loud. And I was also wearing my Elliott shirt. Eh.

I had one last night where I died while hiking with a church group, and came back as a ghost and watched the group go on a "memorial hike" on the same trail that killed me. It ended with the trail leading into a church, and before they went inside, they said "let's pray for him. He would have wanted it that way." As a being you couldn't see/hear, I was yelling "NO! I wouldn't want it that way!!

Okay, I had a rilokiley.net dream last night. We were having some board get together out at this crazy canyon with this wildly turbulent river cutting through the middle. The sky was gray. Everyone was just hanging out and talking, and I was just kind of walking around observing, talking to no one in particular. Then I saw a circle of people standing around this naked guy. I walked over and the person next to me whispered "that's bello. he doesn't realize that everyone is freaked out by his nakedness, he thinks we think it is attractive."

I took a nap while watching a sports show yesterday afternoon, and audio from the show crept into my dream. Basically, I was being asked questions that I knew, but they were being jumbled from the TV to my head.

I just had one where President Bush and Laura Bush were getting a divorce. The best part was the interview she had with a reporter in which she said she initiated the idea.

i had a dream once that i had to protect a group of pot dealing squirrls from the government. i rode in there on my bike and me, the squirrls, and the weed floated off to safety in a hot air balloon. interestly enough i don't even smoke pot so i found it and odd dream.

I ended up having three a few nights ago that all tied together. It's the first time I've had three separate dreams all tie together:

1) a music video that I'd appeared in for a friend had been completely re-shot without us, and with a two minute Gran Turismo commercial within it.

2) while still at the venue where that video was shot, I saw Meiko play in concert. After I left, I received a nasty phone call from my ex who told me that she'd been stealing money from me and that she'd read what I wrote about her in a journal entry the night before.

3) Back in the city that night, I was looking for something in a parking lot, and a huge earthquake leveled most of the city. In the parking lot was the owner of the venue mentioned above and Meiko, who was presumably getting a ride with him.

So I took a nap. And ended up having this somewhat wonderful and entirely unsettling dream about PBOTM. In which we fell down this hill into some half-constructed house...and in the ensuing chaos...yeah. And then his girlfriend was there, but she was some kind of weird manifestation of herself and not actually herself because she was helping him tell me how we should conduct an affair.

Also there was a parade for my high school best friend. And I was gonna be late for it. And some kind of gallery...and I hitched a ride somewhere on the side of this weird-ass European-looking car...and found a cell phone belonging to a guy that some of my sister's friends and my boyfriend used to know but who I haven't seen in years...

But mostly it was unsettling because I had really about convinced myself I was over him. So...so much for that.

this isnt one particular dream.
ill post one when it happens next.
but whenever i fall asleep in school (about every other day), i have short dreams that have no sound. then when something happens (once, i was being pushed into a pool, or something) ill make a noise and its the first noise of the dream. then ill wake up from that, look around, and hope that i didnt actually make that noise.

I tend to start to slip into dreams in which I'm running, or often climbing a fight of stairs...then I miss a step and my body does that jerk-awake thing. Ain't nothing worse than that happening during trigonometry, man...

I remember three dreams from last night. In the most distinct one, my cousin was here and was a McCain supporter for some reason (and she's not in real life), and had this pamphlet/book with stuff about both of the candidates. Then she tripped and hit her head on the book and became an Obama supporter.

I blame this on getting no sleep last night and taking a nap on the couch this morning:

** my friend and I go to see a Mandy Moore concert. Once inside, we see that not only are there just a few people, but a table tennis table set up that we begin playing on.

** Afterward, I get invited to play in a celebrity softball game with them where after hitting a home run in the first inning, Lindsay Lohan refuses to let me play first base. After getting my way, Courtney Love hits two balls to me (which are actually CD's in jewel cases for some reason in this inning, and I'm able to get to field them both.

There's more, like little plastic army men in the path for us to step on, but you get the point.

nepenthe (from here) was in my dream. i dont actually know what she looks like, but it was her. ahah. then there was some party of my friends and she was there with her boyfriend. i dont remember details. i just thought it was funny that i had another RKNet dream.

All right here goes.

So I had this dream that John McCain was coming to speak at my school, and a lot of people kind of had a problem with it. Which would happen in real life because we had Bill Clinton and Barack Obama here last year within like two weeks of each other and they were madhouses, but never a Republican to be seen. Anyway.

I believe it was my idea to protest the speaking. I don't know why I decided the protest would be most effective with beer, but I did. So the plan was to sell beer and have people drinking it outside the place he was speaking, which was some massive building kind of like our administration building and right where that building is in the middle of campus but bigger. Or something. I promise the protest made total sense in the dream.

It also made sense for me to be selling the beer, since I'm not 21 and couldn't drink it and it wasn't like I was going to go to the speech. Or that's what I told my friend Mazes from my a cappella group. I don't know why she's the only actual student I remember from the dream.

So I'm selling beer at the table and Eric from Entourage is there. He's on stilts and wearing those long pants like clowns in parades, but is otherwise normally dressed. And somehow I know he's going to try to sabotage our protest, but I can't really stop him. So he does sabotage it -- I don't know how. Maybe he hid all the beer. But the next thing I know, he had painted this massive pro-McCain mural on the front of the enormous non-existent brick building where he was speaking. Which was suddenly bigger, I think.

So I got really mad at him and started to chase him down. However, I think because he's a character from a television show, we were operating under the constraints of television physics and therefore the episode ended before I could catch him. So I had to wait for the next episode to start and go through all of the "last week on..." scenes, during which I found out I was apparently his girlfriend, before I could chase him again. And I did and tackled him and knocked him down. He couldn't run very fast in stilts.

Then, however, I was kidnapped by this insane woman who wanted me to be her daughter. And I think I was also now in high school. It's possible this was a different dream, actually, but it felt connected. Anyway, we're driving down the highway really fucking fast, but I see a license plate number on another car that I recognize. And I remember that (in the dream only, of course) my mother and I somehow thought that someday I might be kidnapped and she would need to chase me down. Also, in the dream, the woman who was my mother was not really my mumma. Just some random woman who I knew to be my mother...actually, she might have been an actress I saw on House.

So anyway, my mother and I had agreed on a code for a license plate. When I got kidnapped she would get her hands on this license plate number (I don't know if she was getting a new license plate for her own car or finding the car with that number) and follow, so I would know it was her. The crazy kidnapper lady pulled over and I ran out of the car and towards my mother, but the kidnapper started throwing books at her. And I had my school bag so I started throwing my own books at the kidnapper, too, but I couldn't throw them hard enough. That's actually kind of a consistent theme in my dreams -- not being able to throw or punch something hard enough. Also a lot of the time when I try to run it's like I'm trying underwater. But not in this with the running. Just the books.

Then I woke up.

I'm not going to bed without sleeping pills anymore if this is what happens. It was not a very restful night for me.

last night i had a dream where i was in my basement and doing something, and somehow my middle, ring, and pinky finger on my right hand got cut off. without looking at my hand i got a tea towel and wrapped it around it and called 911 but they didn't pick up. i waited til my mom got home and she drove me to the hospital but i had to go back and run downstairs and pick up my three fingers. when i got to the hospital i had to stand in this huuuuuge line full of people with detached fingers! i decided to unwrap the tea towel and look at the damage, and i look down and my fingers are there just my nails were cut a lot shorter.

so i went home.

then at field hockey today we had a game in the 3 degree cold and snow, and my hands went numb and then i regained feeling while playing except for in the three fingers that were cut off in my dream.

WEIRD!

so let me just preface this dream by saying that i spent 10 hours each on monday and tuesday in training for work, which basically consisted of me sitting on my butt trying not to fall asleep all day.

i had a dream last night that i had sex with one of my coworkers. the actual act wasn't in the dream, i just knew that i had done it. he is kind of greasy and grumpy so i kept wondering why i had done that. i didn't remember the dream until i got to work this morning and had to field a call for him - as soon as the person on the line said his name i was like "....oh."

Now that the election dreams seem to have stopped, it's all television dreams. This one was about House. And we were at a beach. But I was wearing my black leather boots. Also all the classmates from my honors program were there. And there was something wrong with my leg just like House, so he gave me some Vicodin...but it wasn't like I was in the series, it was like I was working to produce the series...

It was actually a nice dream since I have a huge fucking crush on House.

I dreamed that I was in a mainstage for next semester. Not true and an unpleasant realization when I woke up.

I dreamed that I got to hang out with Barack Obama. Also not true, but less unpleasant when I woke up because it's much less realistic.

I think there were other things. They involved some fancy dinner thing and not being able to pick out and outfit for it and this giant SUV limo...

I have a recurring dream that everytime I lose my voice, I swallow little glowing lights that my mother and son baked for me. During the night, they do a trapeze walk until they're in the sky right above my head. While I'm asleep, my mother and son pour into me warm glowing oil into my wide open throat.
